Privacy Policy
How we handle your information and the choices available to you.

Who this policy covers
This policy explains how Molecule Works handles personal information when you browse this website, contact us, or place an order. For privacy questions or requests, email moleculeworks1@gmail.com with “Privacy request” in the subject line.
Information we collect
When you contact us, you provide your name, email address, message topic, message, and any optional order reference. We use this information to answer your request and keep track of related correspondence. Please do not send payment card details, medical records, or other sensitive personal information.
When you request payment instructions or place an order, we collect your name, email address, delivery address, optional phone number, order notes, selected products and quantities, prices, shipping choice, and order and payment status. We also store payment-confirmation files you upload and related correspondence to verify payment and resolve order issues. Share only the payment details needed to identify the transaction; redact unrelated balances and transactions. We do not request your payment-account password or full card details.
Service providers involved in delivering the website or contact form may process technical information such as your IP address, browser information, request times, and security logs. This supports delivery, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
Shopping bag, cookies & local storage
Your selected products and quantities are saved in your browser’s local storage under “molecule-works-cart” so your bag remains available on the same device. This does not create an account, submit an order, or reserve inventory. Clear this website’s stored data in your browser settings to remove it.
Your age declaration is stored in your browser’s session storage for the current session. We do not collect your birth date or identity documents through the entry screen.
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to measure visits, pages, product interactions, checkout steps and verified purchases, and Microsoft Clarity to understand browsing through heatmaps and masked session recordings. These providers receive technical information such as browser/device information and interactions. We do not send customer names, email addresses, delivery addresses, payment screenshots or private order links to analytics. Session recordings exclude checkout, order access, contact/support and administrator pages. Optional Google Analytics and Clarity tracking stays off until you accept it. Use Privacy choices to decline or withdraw permission at any time; shopping still works. Browser privacy signals are respected. Analytics cookies can recognize repeat visits on the same browser. We do not enable advertising personalization. Separately, our server keeps limited records of requests for public pages to measure site delivery and campaign arrivals. These records contain the public page path, a recognized campaign-source label, time and response information, but no IP addresses, cookies, visitor identifiers, full query strings or contact details. They do not identify unique visitors and are not sent to Google or Microsoft. We exclude requests carrying Global Privacy Control and obvious automated traffic from this report. Records are rotated daily or by size, with up to 30 rotated files retained for up to 30 days; cleanup occurs during rotation. We also keep daily aggregate counts of cart additions and checkout starts, including before a privacy choice is made. These counts stop when you decline analytics or enable Global Privacy Control. Only the date, action type and total are retained, without visitor identifiers, product details or individual event records. These totals are not sent to Google or Microsoft. Secure order access and administrator sign-in use session cookies. Blocking site storage or cookies may affect these features.
How information is used
We use your information to respond to enquiries, provide payment instructions, verify payments, prepare and ship orders, send order updates, handle cancellations and order issues, maintain business records, and protect the service from misuse. Sending a support message does not subscribe you to marketing. If you request an availability alert, we store your email address and selected product size to send that one-time notification. We do not sell your personal information or use your enquiry for targeted advertising.
Optional email updates
If you subscribe to catalog updates and occasional offers, we store your email address, signup source, and the wording and date of your consent. This subscription is separate from order communications and one-time availability alerts. Subscribing is optional and is not required for the first-order discount. Contact moleculeworks1@gmail.com to withdraw your consent or request removal from the list.
Partner referrals & applications
When our partner program is available, you may choose to allow a referral cookie that credits the partner who introduced you to Molecule Works. This optional cookie contains a random identifier and lasts up to 30 days. We associate it with a partner code and an expiry time on our server. It does not contain your name or email. We do not set it without permission, and we respect Global Privacy Control. Use “Partner cookie choices” to remove it. You can instead enter a partner code at checkout without accepting a referral cookie. A manually entered code takes priority over an eligible referral cookie.
For an attributed order, we keep the partner code, attribution method, commission rate and merchandise value with the order for commission accounting. Removing the cookie stops future cookie-based attribution; it does not remove existing order or payout records. The partner dashboard is for our administrators and does not provide affiliates access to your contact or shipping details.
If you receive a private partner invitation and apply, we collect your name, invited email, country, channel links, promotional plan and acceptance of the program terms to review and manage your application. The application does not collect bank details or tax identifiers. We keep application and commission records as needed to manage the relationship, resolve disputes and meet recordkeeping obligations. Contact us about access, correction or deletion using the details below.
Contact form & service providers
Our website and order records are hosted with Hostinger. Google Workspace processes support messages and order emails. Encrypted backups are stored with Backblaze. When shipping an order, we provide the delivery details needed to Pirate Ship and the selected carrier, such as UPS. Your chosen payment provider processes the payment under its own privacy policy; we use the transaction information and confirmation you provide to verify receipt. These providers process information needed to deliver their services. We may also disclose information where legally required or necessary to address fraud, security incidents, or legal claims.
These services may process or store information outside the United States, where it may be subject to local laws and lawful access by authorities. See Google’s Privacy Policy. You may email us directly instead of using the form; email is still processed by our email provider.
Retention & security
Our policy is to retain personal information only for as long as needed to fulfill orders, handle enquiries and disputes, maintain necessary business records, or meet applicable legal obligations. Copies may remain in encrypted backups until those backups expire under our retention schedule. Information no longer needed should be deleted or anonymized. We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the information and service, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
Your choices & privacy requests
You may ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, request deletion, or withdraw consent to optional uses. Email moleculeworks1@gmail.com. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity; please do not send identity documents unless we specifically arrange a secure method.
We respond within the period required by applicable law. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or unresolved claims; we will explain applicable limits. Withdrawing information needed to answer a request may prevent us from completing it. You may also raise a concern with your state attorney general or the applicable privacy regulator.
Children’s information
This website is intended for adults engaged in legitimate laboratory research. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and address it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change and revise the date shown above. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent before using information for a new purpose. New payment or marketing features will require corresponding updates to this policy.
